Help create 1000 origami paper cranes to honor the lives lost during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 80 years ago.

August 6th and 9th mark the 80th anniversary of when The United States dropped atomic bombs over the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Join us in The Workshop to observe the anniversary and create 1000 origami cranes, learn about the symbolism of the paper crane, and reflect on what peace means to you.

Founded in 1973, the award-winning Warren-Newport Public Library serves a population of approximately 60,000 within a 55-square mile area.
