Socks without partners? Here's a fun way to use them!
Using materials for another purpose instead of throwing them away is a type of recycling. We all know about recycling but it’s important to remember what each of us individually can do. Here are some interesting facts about recycling: U.S. citizens use four million plastic bottles every hour! That’s why it’s so important that when it’s not possible to drink from a re-usable water bottle, we recycle the disposable one. The number one country in the world for recycling is . . . Austria! Austrians recycle 63% of their waste. Wow! And lastly, when plastic is made out of waste plastic (instead of raw materials), 80% of energy is saved! Recycling really makes a difference as does sustainable practices such as drinking from re-usable bottles.
Today’s craft is a great way to personalize any type of water bottle!
