Here's some fun for the younger ones! Practice one to one correspondence using an egg carton and manipulatives like Cheerios.
Counting is Egg-citing!
Materials needed:
egg carton
counting manipulatives like Cheerios (Beware of Choking Hazards!)
Directions: Write numbers in each egg compartment. Number notecards or pieces of paper from 1 -12. Pick a number, then place the number of Cheerios into the corresponding egg compartment. Example: Pick card numbered 4. Count out 4 Cheerios and put them in the egg compartment labeled 4. Repeat the process until all egg compartments are filled. Then eat the Cheerios!
