Get your whisk, and mixing bowl and join WNPL librarians online as they demonstrate something fun for kids to do in the kitchen. (Some supervision or help is required!)

Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
4 green apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
6 tablespoons butter
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 8x8 inch square pan with oil spray or butter.
2. Peel and arrange the apples evenly in the bottom of the pan. Mix remaining
ingredients in a bowl. Use a fork to cut the butter into the flour, or you can use
your hands. Mix till you have a crumb like mixture.
3. Sprinkle over apples.
4. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
*Yummy alone or served with ice cream.
