Whether you are a beginner or expert coder, there are many fun ways to complete an Hour of Code with Tynker and WNPL.
Program participants will learn to code as they complete fun game-like puzzles. In many puzzles, they begin by building a character, then they use Tynker’s block coding language or JavaScript to program that character to navigate through obstacles. Each puzzle introduces new concepts and slightly more challenging scenarios, building on what students have already done. Although students feel like they’re playing a game, they’re learning computational thinking and the basics of programming logic.
Activity Requirements: Option 1: Laptops, desktops, or Chromebooks with a Web browser and an Internet connection OR Option 2: iPads or Android tablets with the free Tynker app from the App Store or Google Play Store Note: Some but not all of these puzzles are available on the Tynker app
There is no set class time. Log in and complete activities when it is convenient for you! Work at your own pace. Complete as many levels as you can.
Registered participants will have access to all levels of Hour of Code with TYNKER beginning Monday December 7-Sunday December 13.
A link to access the program and instructions will be emailed Sunday December 6th.
