One-on-one computer and technology training, by appointment.
WNPL librarians can help you learn new computer skills and walk you through using our website, including subscription databases and e-downloads. Staff can also help with questions about Microsoft Office products, Internet resources, and minor device troubleshooting questions.
Please register with your email address -- we will send you the Zoom meeting details a few days before your appointment, and request background information on the type of assistance that you need to have the appropriate instructional materials available.
Please note: Assistance is limited to instruction on resources available at WNPL. Staff cannot install or fix hardware or software issues. If COVID safety regulations prevent in-person assistance, attendees can receive instruction over Zoom using any Zoom-enabled device (phone, tablet, computer, etc.). WNPL staff will notify all attendees if Computer Tutor Time cannot be held in person.
If you can't make this class, you can still learn about computers and technology on your own time, using your WNPL library card. Check out our LinkedIn Learning and Gale Courses classes on our website (go to E-Library, choose databases, then look for LinkedIn Learning or Gale Courses; both services allow you to search for computer and technology instruction on various topics all from home!). LinkedIn Learning provides short demonstration videos and instruction on a variety of computer topics. Gale Courses offers a full 6 week, instructor-led courses on topics like Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, and other technology topics (they also offer test prep, career skills classes, and more). For more information on LinkedIn Learning, Gale Courses, or other library databases, please visit the E-Library link at www.wnpl.info or ask for assistance at the Adult Services Desk.
