See your community up close in this portrait series by Anna Rasmussen.
Anna Rasmussen uses portrait photography to highlight the shared humanity within diverse communities, revealing the beauty, spirit, and connection that exist across lines of difference.
For this project, Anna spent time with her neighbors in their own homes, talking with them and photographing them in the places where they feel most themselves. Those conversations made it clear how quickly barriers fall once people actually meet and listen to one another. She hopes these portraits encourage others to look at their own communities with the same openness.
